As a "History Buff" and a veteran, this would be considered a "must see stop." However this was simply a typical rest stop on our way to shop and visit museums in downtown Cheyenne. What a pleasant surprise to have a museum experience while making...More

After reading the reviews, I made the Welcome Center a "must see" stop on the trip. Although interesting, I would say it is OK as a stop if you are driving through and need the welcome center for tourist info and restrooms. The exhibits were...More

Not only does this have all the necessary requirements for a visitor center (volunteer, coffee, brochures, bathrooms) it also has all the makings of a mini-museum with a little bit of art and paleontology. It even has a walking trail!

Wyoming can be proud of this Welcome Center for both its architecture and it's content. Museum quality presentation of historical and current events in the state. Well worth the stop.

I have discovered Welcome Centers as the place to go in place of Rest Stops. I travel by myself many times and they are usually staffed and clean. This Welcome Center is both; bathrooms large and clean, soap plentiful, water gets hot. Lots of things...More
