If you have questions about the real west and how the people lived, this is a great place to visit. There are piles of educational materials located here about how it really was.

This is a beautiful museum that has it all. Clean quiet and very well laid out. The art is so impressive I could go everyday. The raptor live birds are the best addition to this center. You will not be disappointed and it will take up a entire day. Food is available. The best thing in Cody besides the outdoor... More

This is one of the best museums I have ever been in and it's amazing to find it in the quaint town of Cody! This building boasts 5 museums in 1 building! I LOVE the Draper Natural History Museum!!! By far my favorite! The antique gun collection is astounding! It just goes on forever! There is also an awesome LIVE... More

A beautifully designed collection of five museums, the admission is worth it just to see the Plains Indians artifacts.

This five-part museum is beyond spectacular. It should not be done in one stop. It took us most of one day and part of the next just to see everything there. If we had stopped to read all the signage it would have taken twice that amount of time. At that, we spent about 10 minutes in the firearms section.... More

Great accommodations, friendly staff, eager to help in any way they can. Complimentary use of clothes washers and dryers. Fire pit, cookies and marshmallows on the patio in late afternoon.

The exhibits at the center were lovely -- old art, interactive exhibits, and even modern art. The people working on July 4 were super friendly as well.

Spent a full week touring the Smithsonian's museums (and 50 years going to museums, even working on some) and the Cody museum has become the best at what it covers. It's a $100 million dollar facility (in today's dollars) with far more than that in it's huge collections of major Western art, Plains Indians artifacts, America's largest firearms collection, a... We have been visiting this museum (these museums, I guess, since there are five under one roof) for over 40 years. The Center has grown from incredible to completely awesome! We love all the museums but are especially drawn the the Whitney Gallery (Museum) of Western Art. With so much to see at the Center, it's worth staying in the... More
