With 4 major wings (fine art, the Plains Indians, Buffalo Bill, and the Firearms wings) you will find an incredible number of interesting exhibits. When I purchased our admissions, I was told it was for two days. Two days, I wondered? After just a few hours, I understood. There is just SO. MUCH. to see! Don't pass it by.

Family and I came to Cody with the express purpose of going to the museum. We were not disappointed. I would recommend giving yourself the entire day or you won't see it all. Best gun museum I have ever seen. Natural history museum is great. Learned a lot about the towns benefactor, Buffalo Bill Cody in that museum. Kids were... More

I would recommend this place to anyone interested in the old west and Buffalo Bill. It was very educational. Depending on how long you look at everything this could take you most of the day to do everything inside. They do have a food court as well but does get crowded

This is a must for history buffs. It is a great museum. the western art is wonderful. You will get lost. Make sure you give yourself plenty of time. You will love the artist studios recreations. Make sure you look for the Thomas Moran paintings. They are inspiring

Enjoyed going here to learn a bit of Wild West history. The gift shop is good too with photos and books about many of the old West characters that you can buy.

The Buffalo Bill Center of the West is really several museums rolled into one. To fit the exhibits we wanted to see into our schedule, we visited twice---and still had to skip some parts. I absolutely loved the interpretives at the Draper Natural History Museum. The Draper Raptor Experience is worth planning your entire day around---a highlight of my trip... More

If you have questions about the real west and how the people lived, this is a great place to visit. There are piles of educational materials located here about how it really was.
