Solid Trip

Guides were cool, it was a good stretch of river (lunch counter and big kahuna) and it was just a solid time.

Getting too and from the rivers was likely the worst aspect, as it didn't seem overall super organized. There were no problems but it was just a simple bus and a long drive. The actual trip however and the employees made it all worth it. The trip, while still being appropriate for younger children, still felt very exciting and intense... More

We did the float trip on the snake river and it was beautiful. This was perfect for my 73 y.o. mother who for sure didn't want any white water. Our guide Orion was really great and very knowlegable about the river and the area. He did a good job of appealing to the 6 of us on the boat. It's... More

What a FUN FUN afternoon on the Snake River! Our group of four...all over 60 years old...opted for the "white water trip" and had the BEST time! We shared the raft with a family of four and one young guy traveling alone. Within 10 minutes, thanks to our amazing guide, Orion, we were all on a first name basis and... More

Not gonna lie... sometimes getting the wetsuit on is the most difficult (and hilarious) part of the trip. Sounds like you had great chemistry on the boat, which can really add to the magic of the trip. Many thanks for your review. More

If you take a boat trip in the Jackson Hole area, you will have to chose between "Scenic" and "Whitewater". Fear not! If you do the whitewater trip, you will get scenery galore. This section takes just over two hours to float and has enough rapids to get your heart pumping. But much of the trip is a scenic float... More

We booked the smaller boat for the white water rafting. The river was a little low so not as exciting but our guide, Colin, had us do some maneuvers to make it more fun. It turned out to be a great experience. He made sure everyone had fun but felt safe too. Everyone from their company was extremely nice and... More

Glad to hear Collin made it more fun. This is a Rocky Mountain snow-melt river in September, so you have to emphasize the different character of the water this time of year. Thanks for the review. More

My wife and I did the "Scenic/Whitewater Combo" on 9/10/16. If hindsight were 20/20 we would probably have done just the whitewater portion. We did the scenic tour because we were traveling with a couple who weren't as adventurous as us. The scenic tour was very nice and we saw plenty of bald eagles. Our guide, Rowen(aka Santa Claus), was... More

We booked the small boat white water rafting trip. The trip was excellent. Our guide Luke was great. He took us through all rapids in the best way for maximum enjoinment. I was on the front row and got covered in water from head to toe several times. My teenage kids had a blast and we did too. We also... More

My low rating was not based on the guide or the company. The guide Ty was terrific and they included a very nice lunch. I can't imagine the more expensive companies doing better. My negative is that the trip just isn't terribly interesting. After 15 minutes it was monotonous except for Ty who was a lot of fun. I personally... More

"Great company, great guide." Why two stars for our company then?-- because that's what you're reviewing here on Trip Advisor. You can't review scenic float trips in general in Jackson Hole here, or even for this particular stretch of the Snake River. It's a review for Lewis & Clark Expeditions, who, by your account, are a "great company", with a... More
