Chancey, Kim, Barry, and Sadie were awesome. Home away from home. We took wagon ride (led by Barry) throughout the ranch, saw the elk and horses, but the highlight was his stories and the meal and then more sharing stories.. They are family and 4th and 5th generation of original settlers in Jackson, WY. Lets start by saying they care.... More

We were scheduled for a Friday evening sleigh ride and dinner. Unfortunately the weather did not cooperate and avalanches prevented us from going on Friday. We rescheduled this for Sunday evening. Everyone working there was super friendly and informative. The main building has a a bar, picnic tables, and space for a band. The weather was cold, and due to... More

This family owned ranch had great customer service and the band playing afterward was great along with the bar area. Dinner was a large T-Bone that was just OK. The strip part was tough but the filet part was very good. My wife noticed that the women were all only given the strip part of the t-bone and when asked,... More

Went on a 2 hour trail ride with Mill Iron Ranch in July 2016. Went with my two kids (9 years old) - we have ridden horses on trail rides before but are not experienced riders. The day started out a bit damp with rain but cleared up nicely. The horses were gentle and our trail leader was interesting and... More

We were warmly greeted the moment we arrived. Everyone was so nice and the food was delicious! The portions were large so no one should ever go away hungry. Our taxi was late picking us up so we were the last ones there, but Kim made us feel like one of the family. She visited with us until our ride... More

Was the largest juiciest most tender steak I have ever had. Was great sitting watching /smelling the steaks get cooked and talking with Kim and her family. The atmosphere at the Mill Iron Ranch is so relaxing and homey! I recommend a night at the ranch for anyone who is hungry.

The sled ride was the most enjoyable part of the experience. The steak was humongous, but a little on the salty side for my taste. They are trying to do two things at once with having a family experience, and having a bar and live band. The band's volume was too loud to enjoy conversation. The family groups all left... More

On a cold and snowy evening, Ms Kim and her family made this event special. From the moment we arrived, we were given personalized attention by the staff. After a quick check-in we were loaded onto the sleigh and were taken by Big and Short, the horse team who pulled the sleigh. We had ideal conditions for the 45 minute... More

We went on a two hour ride in the afternoon and then stayed for dinner. The ride leader (Chuck/Justin) was fantastic, the horses were all wonderful, the scenery was postcard perfect, the meal afterwards was amazing, and the owners of the Ranch (Chancy, Kim, Sarah) made us feel like family!! Can't say enough about it!! xoxoxo

This was one of the highlights during our trip to Jackson and Yellowstone. I've been a horseback rider and horse owner for the last twenty years, and with trail rides I'm always so worried about what I'll find. The Mill Iron horses are fabulous- so happy, well cared for, and with great personalities. Our guide, Justin, was fabulous and spent... More
