Although we didn't see any wildlife this is an iconic place for photographs. If you get here at dawn or dusk, the reflection of the mountains in the water make for a great shot.

From all the adverts it's in. Oxbow Bend is pretty much just what it says, a bend in a section of the road. It's not very big and it can get quite crowded, especially when there's one poor moose just trying to eat some willows, so you'll want to combine this with a trip to Yellowstone or Grand Teton NP.

I read so many reviews about how great this place was, and that many photographers go there to take great photos, but it is a bit overdone. There are many other places where you can have amazing landscape photos of the Tetons. This is just my opinion. We saw it from the car, and from the hill as we passed... More

Discovered this place simply driving by - the view captures you immediately. We visited twice - came back after our evening meal to watch the sun go down. Wonderful time and wonderful memories. Recommended.

Many times, we have stopped here to watch more than one bull moose munching contentedly on the wet grasses! As long as you keep your distance & allow them plenty of space, they will ignore you & you'll get great photos! Do not move closer because you don't have a decent telephoto lens---it isn't worth it; you'll stress the moose,... More

We visited at the height of fall foliage and the views were incredible! Take the time to stop here and enjoy the wonder of this fabulous national park.

I stopped here on my way to Colter Bay Village and came back another evening - saw elk and several birds/ducks. Ranger was there every other evening I think , for September, recommend you check schedule for ranger programs. They have scope usually and of course are knowledgeable about the area and wildlife.

At 0630 - with 03C there were at least 30 people with their cameras and tripods waiting for the Sun-Rise, I am sure that the Sun-Sets are even more popular. It is a lovely place to start your day, and if you walk a little you can escape the crown very easily.

Strongly recommend going to Oxbow Bend for some beautiful sunset views. You might even see some animals come out.
