I highly recommend Blue Hawaiian Tours. The check-in staff was friendly and helpful. The Ecostar is very comfortable with lots of space / head room. Our pilot, Scott, was great! He made sure that everyone got to see the features of the tour from different angles. We got some great views for the lava flowing into the ocean.

I'm the first to admit...helicopters are scary. I went on one in Alaska a few years back, and I had my eyes closed the entire time. This time was so much different! The 2 hours flew by (pun intended), and it was absolutely amazing. Our pilot, Gregg, made us at ease, and I will never forget this adventure. Highly recommend!!

My husband and I took our first helicopter ride out of Hilo to see the volcanoes. We also got to see several waterfalls from the air. Our helicopter pilot immediately put us at ease and said "sit back and relax like it was a Sunday drive in the country". It was a very smooth ride. There were two people up... More

These folks are friendly, well organized, and deliver a great 45 minute insight into how the Big Island volcanoes created this paradise. I wasn't sure after seeing the Kilauea caldron the evening before whether we would get that far up the mountain to peer in (we did not), but discovered that there is plenty of activity closer to Hilo (where... We chose the blue Hawaiian helicopter company out of several based on the reviews on trip advisor. And we were not disappointed. It was a blast to ride in the helicopter, the pilot was doing all sorts of banks, dips and turns. The scenery was spectacular, as we did the circle of fire tour. The pilot make sure that people... Blue Hawaiian Helicopters took us for a wonderful ride over the Big Island. We saw an active volcano, and water falls. Our pilot was terrific. The staff were really great as well. It was the best experience!

We opted to upgrade to the Eco Star helicopter and it was a great option. Not sure about the other pilots, but our pilot did not provide a lot of narration. However, he was able to answer any questions we had during the flight.

We toured with Blue Hawaiian in Maui, Kauai and now Hilo. I would t consider another company. The island views are spectacular and all three pilots were safety conscious as well as entertaining and interesting. The weather is out of their control, but every pilot has found the best route to maximize the focal point scenery. Seeing the islands by... More

Worth every penny! We did the circle of fire plus waterfall and it was excellent. We did a helicopter tour on Kauai and it was good, but I really liked this one leaving from Hilo. Seeing the hot red lava pouring into the ocean was amazing! They have lockers to leave your stuff in, and you have to tell them... More
