Stopped by Rainbow Falls after Akaka, It was beautiful and only 30 minutes away from Akaka. Worth the visit if you are in the area. Very short walk to see the falls.

If you are agile then you can hike on the rocks above the waterfall for great pics. Just be careful not to slip.

These falls are so beautiful but don't let the railing below the falls be the only thing you see on your visit! Head up the hill to the left of the river and cut off into the trees for an incredible view under the canopy...More

These falls are only minutes from town and well worth the short trip. Go in the morning to get the rainbow effect from the sun on the mist. Once you have seen the falls from the lookout walk left up the path, not too far...More

Beatiful, midsize Falls but, need a sunny day to see the rainbow. Easy public parking lot at the Falls. About 300 yards of viewing along the Falls and river with different views and elevations. Free

Parking is hard but worth it to see the falls. Hike into the woods to get a great view of the falls but wear some good hiking shoes.

Enjoy the falls, take pics. Then stroll behind the falls, up the hill to a more secluded area through impressive Banyon trees and more photo ops. Bring a towel if it's hot and you feel like swimming. Recommend!

We were on a tour bus but you can easily rent a car and drive to the sights.
Hummmm, I thought Rainbow Falls were on the Big Island. And Hana is on Maui?
