My son, husband and I took this tour December 30th, 2016. When you get your first glimpse of the steam plume, you know you are in for something special. You will feel the heat and steam and then you see the lava. Totally amazing. You see the ocean go from it's beautiful turquoise to a dark denim almost black as... More

yep, expensive. yep, 4 am sunrise worth it. Yep, totally worth all of it. Just go if its operating. Sit in front, wear water proof jacket, take your dramamine if seasick prone and catch a view you will never see again. PS bring cash to tip your captain, nothing around in terms of stores banks coffee etc, so come prepared.

Read the confirmation email. It has info on where to park, how to get there, where to check in. It's pretty accurate. So read it. The ride is incredibly bumpy. I'm not exaggerating. If you are easily nauseated, really think about this. I had anti-nausea meds in my system and still experienced dry heaving. Prescription grade. I've been on many... More

I would give this trip 10 stars if I could! We live on Oahu and have to say this is the BEST way to see Lava! Normally you just plumes of smoke from the hiking trails, but this tour actually lets you see lava flowing into the ocean. Obviously evening and morning trips are the best, but we booked a... More

We took the sunset trip and had a wonderful time. Being this close to the Lava flowing into the Ocean was the chance of a lifetime and highlight of our trip. We got great photos although I am sure they are even more dramatic in the early morning or after sunset. We highly recommend this trip, it is fast and... More

This is a excellent way to view a wonder of nature up close, very close. We felt the heat of the lava flowing into the ocean. We had the best view available and every passenger had the same view. Thank you to Shane and his crew for an excitement filled lava cruise.

Family visiting, took them on the Lava Ocean Tour and it was amazing. Seeing the flow of lava from the ocean side is not to be missed. You never know when the ocean flow will stop. The boat is large, the captain does a great job of making sure all sides of the boat get to see the lava flow... More

One of the greatest things you could possibly do in Hawaii. Jaw dropping beauty as lava pours into the ocean and liquid rocks sizzle and float. Incredible.
