We spent some time here during a day we were making the rounds to various parks to check out some free locals parks, gardens and attractions. This is a very large park. The grounds are beautiful and seem well used by locals and their families as well as tourists. Grounds were very clean and well respected. Lots of fish and... More

Our condo came with bikes, so during the day we cycled around this lovely peaceful park. A Japanese influence with pagoda, humped stone bridges, twisting paths and lovely flowering shrubs. Imoressive banyan trees galore on Banyan Drive and what an amazing experience at night, when the birds are having a jungle party!

These wonderful Japanese style gardens that are across the road from the ocean are breathtaking. Little ponds, lovely green area, curved bridges, A perfect spot for a wedding, and there have been many here.

Pretty Japanese gardens on Hilo Bay, right along Banyan Drive. Easy walk from a number of nearby hotels. Very peaceful vibe with gentle walks, some over small streams. Also next to a few restaurants

This park is a must see site when visiting the Big Island (Hawaii). The park is well kept with tide pools.

We always stay at a hotel near these beautiful gardens so I have the opportunity to stroll through and enjoy them quite often. I always see something new and the light changes as the sun rises and sets. This is the perfect place for a walk, any time of day or evening. If you are lucky, and its clear you... More

Featuring the largest edo-style Japanese garden in the United States, the park plays host to weddings, children swimming and diving off an old tower which is the remnant from a bridge a tsunami destroyed, friendly family soccer matches or baton battles, picnics and people simply sitting and watching the waves. This is a great place for family outings, early morning... More

Very pleasant to wander through this park. The sun setting over the volcanoes from this vantage point is lovely and a short walk over to Coconut Island takes you past some fascinating trees.
