Very friendly. And enjoyed the beautiful scenery. You would love this excursion. Take a hoodie or sweater just in case it start raining. It rains on that side of the island a lot.. but we got lucky. They also have saddle bags that you can put a drink and cell phone etc in.

What a fantastic trip! This was definitely the highlight of our vacation. Our guide Jamie was wonderful. So informative and friendly, he made the trip extra special. Jamie provided great service and took plenty of photos with our camera for us. The views and the waterfall swim were breathtaking. We had a little bit of riding experience, but not much... More

From booking online to boarding the van at Waipio Valley Artworks and from equipping us for the ride to education along the way, Na'alapa Stables - Waipio Valley was helpful and reliable. My young son was engaged from the get-go and felt safe from the first giddy-up. This trail ride was perfect for him to manage on his first time... More

My mom and I were on the Big Island and decided to try Horseback Riding in the valley. I was a little bit leery at first as I just found a company and booked with out time to review. HOW LUCKY WE WERE! The guides, Jamie and Keoni , were amazing, fun and we felt like family from the moment... More

We had a delightful time riding through creeks and streams while observing the untouched beauty of Waipi'o Valley. Our guide provided us with fascinating facts and insight into the lives of the thousands who lived there at one time and called this magnificent place home. The wild horses who dotted the paths were friendly and welcomed our pats-an extra bonus!... More

With this tour you receive a ride to the valley floor to see the valley and the waterfalls. Because the land is private, by being on the tour with local guides you do not have to worry about trespassing. The guides were friendly and very informative. They live in the valley, so it is their home. The horses had some... More

We all really enjoyed this ride. The guides, Margaret and Mono, were so nice..the ride down to the valley is part of the experience.. The horses are all well behaved with no worries about control.. It''s a great way to see the valley. My only disappointment is unless you engage the guides personally ( if you are riding by them)... More

We are delighted to hear that you really enjoyed this ride! Since the valley is home to many residents and to respect them and their daily lives, our narratives are neither loud or on going. Horses are chosen for riders for experience and weight reasons. Some horses prefer to ride next to the guides on every trip and others prefer... More

This is one of the first things I ever did on the Big Island and it changed my world. I would recommend it highly to anyone, as you get to intimately explore a place most people do not get to see. It literally feels like jurassic park, minus the dinosaurs! Riding through lush forest, waterways, picking fruit off trees along... More

We had a great time on this trip. Our guides were courteous and informative, and the trails provide some really pretty views of high cliffs skirting around the valley. Neither of my teenaged daughters had ridden horses before and they were given horses that were very friendly and easy to ride. You get to ride through some water, too, which... More

Thanks to Jennifer, we were able to score 2 spots at the last minute for the AM ride in the Valley, and it was just the experience I hoped it would be! We got to see way more of the Valley than we would have on foot, the guides provided lots of insights on the area's plants, people, and history,... More
