Beautiful legitimate theatre in Waimea Hawaii. Built by a actual Broadway actor who was a descendent of the Parkers. After retiring from the Broadway state he returned to his family's Parker Ranch and built this beautiful acoustically perfect theater for Broadway style musicals, plays, concerts, etc. Check ou the program. Not to be missed.

We were fortunate to be able to view examples of the resurgence of this skill that was performed daily in ancient Polynesia. Kapa, cloth made from tree bark, was a household item across Polynesia. The Kahilu Theatre Foundation’s exhibit of works by those devoted to the preservation of this skill is superb. The shapes, colors and designs show the versatility... More

My husband and I have been visiting Waimea -- for dining, shopping and farmers's markets, mostly -- for so many years that we have become very fond of the little town. So it was pure serendipity that a tribute to the late, great "Bruddah Iz" fell on a weekend we were on the island. We greatly enjoyed the wonderful music... More

We saw a hip hop and modern dance performance here by a group from Seattle. Really nice theatre and great performance first by the locals and then the professionals. The Theatre has a bar and food and is very nice.

My wife, and I say Jake perform last night, and are minds were blown. What a great artist, and such a great venue to see him at. The Theatre looked awesome from the last time we were here about 5 years ago for the nutcracker

Kahilu Theatre is a non profit community arts and education center located in Kamuela of the Big Island. World class artists from Hawaii and beyond come to share their talent with the Big Island. My first visit to the Kahilu Theatre was to see Te Vaka. A musical group that performs original contemporary Pacific music. The next week we went... More

There are talented young people living on the island of HI. We purchased tickets for "Godspell". This production had live music and singing. A great way to spend an afternoon. Many people who visit the Big Island, don't know about the productions both at Kahilu Theater in Waimea & Aloha Theater in Kona. Amazing talent. Tickets for both venues can... More

In Waimea - so if you are coming from resort land bring a sweater or raincoat as evenings can be cool and rainy. Theatre offers wide-variety of events. Coming up are Hawaiian music greats - Brothers Cazimero and Keali'i Reichel. Other events include classical music, dance groups, community chorus, ukulele festival. Theatre has a few Saturday free keiki events. And... More

We went to Makana...this theater is a perfect venue as all seats are good and the theater is smaller in size...you really feel the music and get the vibe. The acoustics were amazing as was this terrific concert...they offered food and drinks for a decent price a d fun was optional...
