From start to finish, an Evening at Kahua Ranch is a totally awesome experience. Arrive to a warm greeting, watch a (usually) breath-taking sunset, hear about the history of the ranch from big John Richards, enjoy mingling with folks from all over the world, while enjoying a beer or wine from the open bar. Be totally entertained by MC Sue... More

Well this was an unexpected surprise! The views up on the ranch at the top of the Big Island are unmatched, and sunset was divine. We hadn't seen this part of the island before, so it was a treat. This dinner with feel-good entertainment was one of the best evenings of our trip, and the one we will be telling... More

My family attended the Evening at Kahua Ranch on Wednesday, March 29. I knew about the cattle ranches prior to visiting Hawai'i, but did not know there would be an experience quite like this available. The bus picked us up just across the street from our resort and our driver, Tommy, was informative and provided some great comic relief on... More

Make reservations if you want to attend an Evening at the Ranch - Wednesday only. This was a good 2 hour drive from the Puna District south of Hilo. Plan extra time if you want to stop and look at the scenery. It's a breathtaking drive up the coast to Honokaa. As you turn inland, the scenery changes to forest,... More

As return visitors to Hawaii we only just learned of the large cattle ranches. We attended this once a week special cattle ranch dinner with endless steak and bar b que, live CWC music a day dancing. This ranch is big, beautiful and a real working cattle ranch. We started our entertaining history lesson of Cowboys and cattle on Hawaii... More

Appreciate his extra time for questions. Varied and interesting activities including roping, horseshoes and branding. Great buffet (especially for us devoted carnivores), along with complimentary entertainment. Wonderful activity for solos, couples or families, very kid friendly. 5... More

Wonderful place to go for families. Outdoor bar-b-que with a country singing and dancing show. Live animals, roping demonstrations and branding your own wood. Long drive but worth the extra effort.

Our trip to the ranch was amazing! The hospitality was great! The food was delicious and plentiful! A bit chilly so don't forget your coat!! However, our driver Sal, was something to be desired. He was rude!! He had a dry sense of humor but it was taken way over board as far as I was concerned. He told us... More
