Free Kona coffee sampling plus a farm tour which included their avocado and papaya trees. Great to know what separates Kona coffees from other coffees. Disappointed that they don't sell green beans as I am a home roaster. They told me that I wouldn't be able to buy green beans anywhere on the Big Island! Hmmm. There I am with... More

We visited the farm in the afternoon. Coffee samples for everyone to try. We went on a tour at 2pm with Tim. I loved hearing the history of the farm and the see all the steps of the coffee process. He was fun and informative. He also did a great job answering any questions.

We came to this location today as I was here over 6 years ago. It is very similar to what I remember other than the prices have increased a great deal. The 30 min tour is informative and interesting. Enjoyed the experience and the free samples. It's worth a visit but I would suggest that someone in your party must... More

We stopped here on impulse after other activities. Boy, were we glad we did! The farm is lovely and well-maintained. The free tour was engaging, informative, and included information about other local plants and more interesting information about coffee than I thought possible. There are free coffee samples, and the staff educate you about the differences. Greenwell Farms appears to... More

Enjoyable short tour which was very informative. Lovely local farm behind which is a big business operation. Coffee season is not at this time, so we did not see a lot of the working operation in action. Enjoyable coffee tasting and an hour well spent. Would recommend to give one a glimpse of kona coffee production.

Short and informative tour of a coffee farm. Our guide gave a great tour about how coffee is grown, harvested and readied for roasting. Afterwards we enjoyed samples of the farm's coffee. We combined this visit with a visit to an historical farm close by so that we were able to compare modern coffee farming with how it was done... More

We stopped by on a tour of the Big Island and loved our visit. The tour was informative and interesting. They run a great place. The tasting of coffee was the highlight, though. A range of coffees were offered from mild to strong. There was a variety and it was all good. The best part of this is that the... More

We took the tour of this coffee plantation and found the history and site very interesting. The tour is easy, the guide very friendly and informative, and explained their operation and facts behind Kona coffee.

Want more coffee knowledge from a working 100+ year old coffee farm, Greenwell Farms is your place. Take the tour, their staff has a great knowledge of the Greenwell family as well as the history of coffee in Hawaii. You also learn the process of how coffee goes from plant to cup. The farm also has many other tree that... More

The coffee and tours are the best. When the trees are blooming the scent is a bonus. We bring all our quests here.
