We didn't bring our suits but decided to stop by the warm pond. The water is warmed from lava tube below but even though we didn't swim it was an incredible view especially during high tide as the waves came over the protection in front...More

Stop in for a warm and relaxing visit. Perfect for a cool or overcast day, and perfect for younger kids. Parking is right by the pools, picnic tables are nearby, and they have steps with handrails leading into the pool. Lifeguard also on duty. We...More

Fed by a natural spring and ocean water, this makes for a very relaxing and therapeutic day in the sun. The water is probably 90 degrees plus.

This is one of my favourite places to visit. One thing to take note of is that the park is closed on the second Wednesday each month for maintenance. If school is out sometimes it changes to the third Wednesday of the month for maintenance.

Beautiful setting, thermal-fed pools right on the edge of the ocean. Very, very relaxing. Can get crowded and there are some locals who hang out here all day long. Early or late is best. Hit a full moon if you can.

My husband and I spent a very nice early afternoon soaking in this warm pool overlooking the ocean. It was a stormy day, which made it perfect for enjoying the warm water temperature. Go on a weekday, or early in the morning to avoid the...More

As long as you come early, this warm pond is a taste of heaven, clean, quiet and uncrowded. Some people don't like how the little tiny fish nibble on you when you stop for too long, and some people don't mind. When you come be...More

Stopped here after the Kapoho Tide Pools and a fun and easy access park and natural warm pool. Hit it at low tide and the water temperature was perfect. Fins not required for snorkeling and there was a suprisingly diverse array of fish. Even saw...More

OK... To set the record straight... and as a point of reference, I live here. The charm of our area is the feeling of remoteness (yet easily in reach of main amenities in Hilo) or disconnectivity (from the madness that... More

To test of my knowledge, it's open 7 days/week. They have their own website; I just couldn't access it this morning.
