Enjoy the vistas on your drive into Hanalei, look out over the vast taro fields. Stop if you can after you pass through the one lane bridge and snap some gorgeous pictures

The lookout has one of the best view in Kauai, feels like Vietnam. After a few minutes stop at the lookout on a sunny day, I recommend driving into the valley itself to see the fields. Going down the main road towards the Kalalau trail, there is a single lane bridge in 2 sections. Most people turn right after the... More

I like to stop here when I first arrive as it is the first peek at the Hanalei area which is so different from the rest of the island. The taro fields stretch for acres to the craggy peaks in the distance. It's a beautiful sight. I took a picture in my mind because my phone was dead!

Stop here on your way to Hanalei for an amazing view. If heading west it's an easy stop to the side of the road for a good lookout. Definitely worth a look!

Finding the lookout is easy as it is well signed - the turnout is just west of the Princeville Center Mall. It offers an elevated view of the Waimea Valley which goes for several miles into the mountains. You'll also see some large taro farms in the lower part of the valley. It is worth a stop but just for... More

This is a popular vista and great spot to snap pics of the growing fields in the distance...also the range beyond. We did take the ride into the valley as well.

Beautiful view of the mountain range in the distance with all the tarot fields in the valley below. All nice and green! A good spot for some pics.

This lookout is just west of Princeville turnoff on the mauka side of the road. The views of the valley and taro fields are spectacular. BUT, the county of Kauai needs to do a little vegetation remediation or you soon wont be able to see anything. The trees and other greenery are growing so much that some of the views... More

The valley is filled with taro and is beautiful to look at from above. It's really just a stop on the side of the road so take those few seconds to check it out
