This is a beautiful overlook. You can see the coastline, lighthouse and do lots of birdwatching right from the viewing area in the parking area. If you're not too tired and want to walk, the price of admission shouldn't discourage you. It's around $6 a...More

A great place to stop for photos. Breathtaking. Learn all about the native birds and see hundreds of them. I've been in winter and summer and both times spectacular. Higher waves in Winter. Not expensive either.

Nice spot to see sea birds. We didn't do he lighthouse tour as our little one was too tired. If you are on North Coast, swing by. Unsure I would travel here specifically from elsewhere unless lighthouses are your thing.

There are great views in every direction once you hike down to the lighthouse: out to sea and a close by island, the cliffs to the right awash with birds, and the mountains in back of you. Informative signs tell the story of the area...More

This is our Earth in all of its glory ......creation! When you imagine how our planet looked, millions of years ago, as lava flowed and mountain ranges were created.... this must be a small glimpse what the land looked like. And you are there.

Returned to improvements but the same old sights and sounds. This is a magical place with birds and sweeping views. I will visit every time I come to Kauai.

Let me change that answer. That is for the Kilauea Lighthouse. The wildlife refuge isn't really a place you go into. It defines an area around the lighthouse. So it is always open to the birds, and you can come anytime... More
