We have visited the Kilauea Lighthouse twice and love it more each time. Some days they have tours of the lighthouse which are informative and interesting. The view from the top of the light is stellar. For birders there are a lot of birds to...More

This is our Earth in all of its glory ......creation! When you imagine how our planet looked, millions of years ago, as lava flowed and mountain ranges were created.... this must be a small glimpse what the land looked like. And you are there.

Returned to improvements but the same old sights and sounds. This is a magical place with birds and sweeping views. I will visit every time I come to Kauai.

Beautiful spot for only $6 admission. lighthouse tours available with interesting store. Birdwatching is excellent. Boobie birds nesting. Albatross nests and activity mainly Nov- June so none were present in July. Jutting out into ocean with beautiful views up either coasts

Great spot for bird watching Great Frigate birds, blue footed boobies, in winter months great views of whales! Nice gift shop with many gift options. Bring binoculars for better viewing.

the walk out on Kilauea Point, surrounded by beautiful sea cliffs and surf crashing on the rocks is very pretty and, unless you are from Hawaii, you get to see a lot of birds you will never see at home.

We stopped on our way to stay in Princeville. It was a lovely view but there are many lovely views in Hawaii! I would not make a special trip here

When driving along the north shore of Kauai, Kilauea Point is just a few minutes off of the main road (Hwy 56). Or walk from the town of Kilauea (20 minutes). Many visitors stop at a turn-around with a railing overlooking a bay with steep...More

There was not much to see or do here. Interesting history. Views are not as good as elsewhere on the island. We killed some time here but not really much to see. the town itself had some nice shops and restaurants though.

Let me change that answer. That is for the Kilauea Lighthouse. The wildlife refuge isn't really a place you go into. It defines an area around the lighthouse. So it is always open to the birds, and you can come anytime... More
