Upon entering the store we said hello to the saleswoman and she replied back: "hi" like an annoyed teenager and continued by without asking if we would like help. She probably rolled her eyes, but I was too busy looking around to really notice. The atmosphere was a bit tense; maybe only locals are welcome? We certainly didn't look like... More

We stopped by this shop on the way back from visiting the Kilauea Lighthouse. It's located along w/ a collection of other shops, restaurants, and a playhouse theater. A great place to wander around. There are some historical signage explaining the founders of the Kong Lung Trading Co. The goods are pricey quality stuff; unique one-of-a kind gifts (we picked... More

This shop is one of nicest places to shop we've been to on the Kauai. It's actually on the way to the Kilauea Lighthouse, so not that out of the way. A good combination trip. But from the outside, just driving by, you'd never guess how nice this is. We really wanted to buy a family set of plush shelties... More

She was only interested in making a sale rather than helping me. After rudely ignoring me for a bigger sale, she accused me of hiding the merchandise tag even though she had it the whole time. Then when my boyfriend tried to pay she disappeared again to open a display case for another potential sale taking advantage of the fact... More

I love shopping at this delightful store, and I am always surprised and impressed by the variety and quality of everything they sell. They have beautiful jewelry, a great selection of unique greeting cards and stationery, lovely clothing, books, children's gifts, Hawaiian shirts in traditional patterns, and on this most recent visit an absolutely beautiful selection of kimonos. I don't... More

Darling store minutes from the Kilauea Lighthouse in a quaint shopping area. The store has lovely high end gifts, housewares, clothing. Fun place to shop.

If you're looking for Hawaiian tourist items, this store is not for you. But if you're looking for unusual gifts that you're not likely to find elsewhere, this store is the best! They have a wide variety: jewelry, shirts, beautiful books, unusual note and greeting cards, dishes and serving items, chopsticks and sake cups, and much much more. Even though... More

The building should have been made a museum instead of a store that makes absolutely no sense with its merchandise. Other reviewers were correct that the lady behind the counter is rude and doesn't care about the customers who come through the door unless they look like they can afford anything. Lady was too busy chatting with girlfriend. It was... More

Very casual atmosphere. Many fine shops and very interesting history. Two nice eating spots. Farmer's Market just up the road.
