We stumbled across this beach as we headed towards the end of the north road. With limited parking just off the road within the trees, and few parked cars, we set off to explore the beach. Whilst the beautiful sandy beach itself is extensive, with...More

Tough beach to find, hesitant to write a review, hoping to keep the crowds away. A mix of locals with kekis & a few tourists. Saw a shark fin swimming by, might keep the crowds away. No facilities, like bathrooms or showers, signs when you...More

This beach is protected by a reef out a little way. The beach was nice and not very many people were there. They had tables and trees and water to wash off with. Very nice park. I highly recommend this place. I had a blast...More

Drive south after Hanalei Bay, stop off at Pink's for a drink or ice cream, and make a left onto Kalihiwai Road. The most scenic beach awaits you. This is a calm, relaxing swimming or paddle boarding beach. Come here for peace and relaxation. Take...More

So many beaches in Kauai, and so little time. I am reluctant to write about this beach, as it seems to be a great secret --- we stumbled upon this beach on a Sunday afternoon, easily found parking and a shady area to sit, and...More

A perfect tropical bay (that you can see from above, in a curve on the road to go), isolated with not so lot of people (even the week end). Beautiful colors and it seems a good swimming (check the conditions before) on the right along...More

We found this beautiful beach after turning on Kalihiwai Road. After going to the bottom of the road we encountered a picturesque bay with a wide sand beach lined with many trees for parking in the shade. It wasn't crowded at all!

Seriously, this is a hidden gem. It is small, private, and secluded. Being that it is so easy to get to, I am shocked that it is not packed with people every day. I really like this little beach. The locals like it too. This...More

Great beach for body boarding. There is no life guard here so be a confident swimmer. Probably not the best for smaller kids unless an adult is closely watching. Have been warned about rip currents but have not experienced them. It is a beginner body...More

Large beach that was mostly empty. In the morning the waves were moderately sized so swimming was easy. As the day progressed the waves got larger and less comfy. Surfers at one end where the creek came into the bay. Easy access from the highway....More
