Beautiful grounds with dining options. Also scattered with quaint shops. The rum tasting is not to be missed. You will want to buy some to take home thereafter.

I originally headed in that direction to take a little tourist train through a tourist plantation. I'm a train freak -- and if it comes with a Rum Tasting -- all the better. It is getting harder and harder to actually find local sugar cane...More

Stopped by Koloa Rum Company for their free rum tasting. The bartender was very personable...he explained about the company and the individual rums we tasted. We tasted a dark rum, a cocount rum and finished off with their rum punch (my favorite). Very enjoyable and...More

The bartender was a pleasant fellow and very chipper. He very quickly cycled through all of the rums they offered, which were all quite yummy, especially the coffee one. It all felt very rushed though and I wish it was just a tad bit slower...More

Had a great time tasting the rum. Very tasty. Word of caution. We bought 2 bottles of rum at their gift shop, we then found the rum for $10 less at the grocery store. Skip the gift shop and just by at the grocery store.

We pack the suitcase full on the way back every time. We favor the white and gold but it's all delicious. Also supports the local economy!

Rum tasting was excellent ‼️ The host was very knowledgeable about the Koloa rum, the products sourced, and gave a brief history about the Hawaii and the impact sugar plantations had. Even mentioned Kamehameha Schools😊 I would highly recommend 🤙🏽
