We really enjoyed our visit to the Kauai Museum. We especially loved the welcome and orientation we received from James, a former history teacher who clearly loves sharing his knowledge and passion for all things Hawaiian.

The museum preserved the history of the Kauain included Oriental Section along with some good information on plantation. The gift shop is a must visit. Beautiful pieces. Great prices. Loved the visit.

Many fascinating items but I found the room on the history of diverse ethnic and racial groups of this state and island truly fascinating. I need to go back to learn more- its more than... More

I was really excited to see the museum. The lady who took our money was great and gave us an overview. I later realized she spent so much time on that because the labeling and the exhibits in general are not self-explanatory. There are a lot of wonderful artifacts here; unfortunately, they are not displayed with adequate labels and in... More

Since my grandson was with us on vacation and he was homeschooled we took him here and made him write an essay on the history of Kauai. It is chalk full of history!! It is truly amazing and we learned so much not only about Kauai but Hawaii too. You need to take a few hours to really see it... More
