Well worth the drive to the starting point for the trail. You walk through many zones, from sandy beach, to bay, to rough cliffs to desert. Take plenty of water. It was probably the hottest spot of our entire three weeks on the island. Beautiful vistas, adventure and not a lot of people... bonus!!!

This is a lovely hike on which you can go for 1-2 miles before turning around. Stunning views of the water from high up so you can see currents, sea turtles, beautiful white capped waves. Also fun to look at the plant life and the rock formations. Beautiful beach at the end of the cliffs and golf course which you... More

Nice hike here, not too long or strenuous, and so pretty. It could be dangerous for folks getting too near the edge though, so keep a close eye on youngsters.

Beautiful view of cliffs, ocean and Poipu. Not too strenuous but be sure to wear walking shoes. Most of path is Sandy but the is several areas of lava rock. Take water and wear a hat on sunny days. Even the older generation who can walk without assistance can make the hike. Just a few areas of climbing but there... More

We love these cliffs and walk them every year new are there! The views are fantastic! The ocean is always different depending on the weather and the cliffs have neat little sandstone configurations!

Great hike with beautiful views along the whole trek. There is a beach at the start of the hike, nice for a swim before and after! Nice trail, I'd suggest a sneaker and not a sandal due to various different terrains.

Wear running shoes as it is a dirt path. Stunning views. Lots of photo opportunities. Panaramic ocean views. It is hilly and bumpy, so sandals aren't the best choice.

We love the hike from Shipwreck Beach to Kawailoa Bay. We have done it many times and always go back at least once if not 3 times when we visit Kauai.

Walk the trail along these cliffs, but don't get too close as they are severely undercut. You can see where pieces have broken off and fallen into the ocean. The salt water has eroded the cliffs into cool formations. The trail is easy to walk and the views are beautiful. This was also pretty quiet without many people during the... More

Stunning views of crystal clear waters from the top. Be warned, there is NO BEACH access - from the top of these cliffs. Walk along 2 mile trail. We spotted a HUGE turtle from the top.
