After arriving at Poipu Beach walk just a few steps north around the corner in front of the Marriot the beach may be smaller but it is cleaner, less crowed and almost no chickens. It is a better swimming beach.

We totally loved the Poipu Beach Park. It is ideal for families with kids, sunsets are absolutely stunning and we came to watch turtles every evening. We even saw a monk seal here

This was a decent public beach, but it was very crowded. One high note was seeing monk seals laying on the beach.

Very nice place to watch the sunset, swim, people watch, throw a frisbee. They really take good care of this park.

It would be good for beginner snorkeling! It is protected by a reef so water is not rough. You need to be aware that in some spots the distance between rock and water surface is very very shallow and you need to be careful... More
