We had so much fun here this afternoon. The water is glorious in mid-afternoon, multiple shades of blue. The sand is soft. The beach tends to get very busy, but it’s not packed. There were dozens of snorkelers in the water, and we knew what...More

I had a lot of fun at this beach! We had been mainly going to small beaches u before going to Poipu, and even though it was much more crowded than the smaller beaches, it was nice being so close to parking availability, bathrooms, showers,...More

Walk out snorkelling to hundreds of fish and a sea turtle. Get there early in the day for easier parking. Bring cold drinks and subscreen.

Packed a picnic lunch and sat by the beach, enjoyed seeing the aqua color of the ocean, so beautiful!!! Saw five sea turtles swimming near the shoreline as well. Great place to picnic!

Let’s be honest - hundreds of people slathered in sunscreen with waves crashing onto the beach in two directions does not make for good snorkeling. If you decide to waste your time will you see fish? Yes. Will it be anything exciting? No. Fish live...More

Lovely sheltered bay, easily accessible by pathways. Incredibly clear water, excellent for snorkeling. There were seals and turtles every day.

This is a very highly rated beach and those ratings are absolutely true. Its crowded, but that's fine as there are essentially three or four different beaches that make up the park. If you are anywhere nearby you should ABSOLUTELY check this out.

Fun place to snorkel! It was a little wavey today but places to stay in the shallow area and still see plenty of fish. There was one sea turtle hanging out by the reef even with tons of people around. Lots of parking but fills...More

Poipu Beach is an excellent place to readily see abundant varieties of fish immediately as you get in the water. The current can be a bit rough so if you want to snorkel, you should be comfortable in the water with fairly good swimming skills....More

If I understand your question, rent a car through Costco. You don’t need a Jeep (unless you’re going off road somewhere that I don’t know about) or a convertible on Kaua’i ( because it rains a lot and you’ll look like a... More

We saw one dog outside of the beach area. Unsure if they are technically allowed, though.
