I recomand you to rent a car and ride the entire east side loop, not just the green/cascades zone. Personaly I liked more the south-eastern side of the loop with its moon like landscape. it is spectacular. most of the north-eastern road, between Hana and...More

Gavin was a very knowledgeable guide. The road was blocked at the beginning, so Gavin wisely rerouted our tour from ending to beginning. We wasted no time. It was a heart-stopping, jaw-jarring ride through the cultural and historical backroads of Hana.

This is an all day journey because there are at least 6 waterfalls on your journey including Twin Falls where my kids swam for over an hour in the fresh water. You want to start early because everything in Hana shuts down between 5:30-6:00 pm...More

This was an awesome ride. We toured on a very rainy day. There were cascading waterfalls everywhere in the mountains. Our driver said when a car comes towards us, don't look at the driver, look at the look of terror in the passenger's eyes. I...More

28 years ago, I drove the Road to Hana in a rented car. The road was a challenge then and it has not improved very much. Then we were able to see the Pineapple plants, and the sugar cane fields. They are no longer in...More

Have I mentioned that Damien is awesome. He grew up in the area, and is seemingly related to everyone. He was personable, informative, and the tour went to many areas in Maui that I have never seen - and I've been to Maui 10 times....More

I do the complete circle. Follow the road back towards Kula and the Haleakala turnoff road. I would use maybe a quarter tank of gas when doing this trip. So depending on what kind of vehicle you are driving. The tour... More

You can choose the adventure you want, there and back along the same path, or around the island. Be aware though, that an around-the-island route MAY not always be possible. On our trip, the bus's air-conditioning was... More
