We began each morning walking up the tall hill at 4:45 to get to the top at least 30 minutes prior to sun rise while it is still dark. We were surrounded by cows on the way up but no worries they will not bother you. The sunrise is absolutely gorgeous from this view!

The hike to the top is up a paved trail and isn't too demanding. Your legs will definitely feel the burn at some point, but then turn around and look at the amazing view as you go up the hillside. When you get to the top you will be treated to a 180 degree view of Hana.

Tour is a nice day visit. We use Valley Isle Excursions to do the driving and to provide island history.

Hiking up to Fagan's Cross is a great way to get a little exerciser first thing in the morning. Capturing the sunrise over the town of Hana is spectacular. A great place to reflect an say a thankful prayer.

This site is just across the highway from the Travaasa Hana resort, and can be walked to in 10 minutes or driven in 3 minutes. It's a great place to see the sunrise, and gives a fantastic overlook of the resort grounds. It's a very easy hike up the hill, but you can drive if you want and the hotel... More

This was a great walk to do in the evening before sunset. It was good exercise, very steep, but paved the whole way. Very peaceful and lovely at the top.

We were told the history of the cross and it was very moving. It's a drive by as the cross is in the middle of the jungle

If you are spending any time in Hana this is a short hike you should take. The cross is atop Lyon's Hill, directly across the road from the Travaasa Hotel and a brisk walk up is a good workout. I did the hike in the early morning which on one hand was good (cooler temperatures) but on the other hand... More
