My husband is an amateur astronomer and he felt this was an attraction not to be missed. The tour was limited to a small number and Jan was very knowledgable. The attraction took us through the national park and we were able to stop at...More

This was a truly unique experience well worth every penny! Before hopping on the minivan we had some time to use the restrooms and buy snacks/dinner at the meeting point. There were plenty of space for us to park our rental car. My sambo is...More

January 12, 2019 Great stargazing experience. Jan is quite knowledgeable and knows her skies. Very accommodating, - supplies hot drinks, ski jackets and pants, as well as wool hats and gloves. All of the above were of very good quality. This is a 2-4-1 kind...More

Aloha and MAHALO for the lovely review. Hats and gloves are fleece by the way - warm yet easily laundered and less allergenic. I am always trying to add interest to improve the guest experience on this five hour tour. That’s why we stop at...More

Went on the stargazing experience while on a family vacation in Maui and it was easily the most disappointing and expensive activity of the trip. Our guide, Jan, while knowledgeable about astronomy she was rude and unprofessional, ultimately ruining the experience for us. Even before...More

thank you for the feedback. My apologies you didn’t feel the 5 hour tour was worth the $160. It was cumbersome communicating with you via your travel agent which is the reason I ask for your direct cell in the booking process. I ask guests...More

Jan’s tour was fantastic. Everything was well planned and comfortable. We could see lots of objects with the naked eye, and saw others using the telescope. The group was just the right size for everyone to participate, and she has modern gear to keep everyone...More

Aloha Bob! Mahalo for the kind review! I hope you’ll join on your next Maui visit. The night sky changes with the seasons so we are treated to a whole new set of constellations and deep space objects in the telescope! Please give my regards...More

We did the Maui Stargazing tour in mid-December and had an awesome time! Jan runs a tight ship and her equipment, tour bus, and cold weather gear are all top notch. She doesn't skimp on anything...including her extensive knowledge of the stars. Now, we were...More

Mahalo for the 5 star review! We at Maui Stargazing do our best to make our guests comfortable in the cool temperatures so they can enjoy the evening’s main attraction: looking through the largest portable telescope on Haleakalā! Hope to have you on a future...More
