At Wailele Polynesian Luau dinner show, guests will embark on an exciting journey to the Polynesian Islands where dance was considered not just as a form of entertainment, but as a means of telling stories. Recognized for providing an award-winning experience, the luau is held oceanfront at The Westin Maui Resort & Spa and features dances and songs from old and modern Hawaii, Tahiti, Fiji, New Zealand (Maori), Tonga and Samoa. Highlights include the story of Pele (Goddess of Fire), Hi'ilave Hula Awana dedicated to Wailele (meaning waterfalls) and Maui's most extreme fire knife dance finale called "Siva Afi". The unforgettable evening of fun, culture and entertainment is complemented by a traditional dinner served buffer style and selection of beverages.

Family of eight including children enjoyed the experience as a family. Agreed, M.C. jokes were tired, the queuing for photographs is tedious when one is on holiday however, if you wait long enough the 'rush' will subside and, we were very pleased with the family...More

The show was OK, the meal was 'meh. I would not recommend this luau, given the price. I didn't feel it was good value. The fire dance was cool. But it was 15 minutes of a 3 hour event.

Seems like Lazaro had a bad experience at the luau. Out of the three reviews he wrote, two out of three was way bad. Looks like he has a high standard interms of service and production.

This review is for the luau at the Westin Maui. I suspect Westin wants to share in the profits of this endeavor, held on their premises, while minimizing damage to their brand from bad reviews, so "Westin" does not appear in the name of the...More

The setting for this luau is quite interesting: when you stroll around the luau pavilion, you discover that the ocean is just a few steps away, but you get no view of the sea from your table. The “welcome” had a good variety of free...More

I only have one other luau to compare this one to. It was at the Sheraton 6 years ago. They have a M.C who is amusing but it seems like his pre-show banter went on way to long. I would have preferred more dancing and...More
