The BEST small group ocean rafting tours since 1982, Ultimate Whale Watch & Snorkel invites you to snorkel Lanai with us, as well as share photographic, non-threatening close-encounters with Dolphins, Whales and Turtles! Our rafting vessels host less than 26 guests per trip, creating a fun and uncrowded experience with Maui's marine life! We offer two different Lanai snorkeling tours, 4.5 and 6.5 hours on the water! Our snorkeling tours include snacks and meals, gear and multiple snorkel stops where you will be able to spot a variety of marine life along with our most beloved ocean friends, the dolphins! From December through May, Humpback Whale encounters are guaranteed and the crystalline offshore waters frequently provide a passing subsurface eye-to-eye view as we host tours, photography session and research groups. Make a difference and experience one of the last remaining great migrations of the Animal Kingdom. Your ticket supports freeing of entangle whales, whale research and education on Maui! See you out on the water!

My wife and I went on the ultimate whale watching tour on 12/13/17. We took the 11:20 a.m. tour yesterday. The trip was a huge disappointment for us. This was this worst thing we have booked here in Maui. The captain spent the majority of...More

Great trip with Amy and Tiff the comic relief and also very knowledgeable. We have been on quite a few whale watching trips and this was terrific. Being a smaller Zodiac is really the way to be up close and personal with the whales. It’s...More

We saw several whale "visits" including a breach just off the side maybe 50-60 feet away! Amazing fun and Gabe and Amy were amazing as guides! Told us about some if their whale experiences in Alaska as well as Maui! Top class!

Tif and Amy were so much fun, they made everybody feel comfortable and relaxed, and they were willing and able to answer whatever questions we came up with. One passenger said he could hear a whale singing, so Amy right away turned of the motor,...More

This was our second time with this company. We went on December 1 and even though whales are sparse this early, we still saw them. Boat is a zodiac type with the back having seats and partially covered by a roof. Driver was laid back...More

Mahalo for coming out with us! Glad you liked our small group and small boat! Yes the parking is not the best, and its smart to get here a little early to find the right spot! Hope to see you next year!

The smaller boat was a big advantage. Though early in the season, we started with dolphins and then had multiple whale sitings. Captains Amy and Tif were professional and worked hard to be sure we had an excellent experience.

My whale watch was early in the season. No sighting of a whale, but the dolphins came to the rescue. We came upon a school of dolphins. They entertained us-jumping, swimming around the boat as we cruised-delightful. The crew was very knowledgable, keeping the trip...More

Our main vessel Wahine Kai has a restroom you can use, and please if you need to communicate it with the Captain/Crew, the other two smaller vessels do not have restrooms onboard. Mahalo!

Aloha, We see dolphins 95% of the time on our Lanai Snorkel trips- Both Molokini and Lanai would be good to visit in May, Lanai does offer more snorkeling spots with more marine life and less crowds due to its location.
