I think the courthouse was a fun stop while at the Banyan tree Park in Lahaina. It pretty much was a walk through museum with a nice little gift shop (which was my favorite). The staff is very friendly and didn't mind answering questions. We...More

If you're near the Banyan Tree, take some time to stroll around the ruins and read the plaques. There's some interesting history to be learned here. Not enough to be its own trip, but a nice counter point to the touristy walk on Front Street.

This is the old part of Lahina. Check out all of the square. A lot of people don't pay attention to the courthouse or the fort. Take the time, it's history.

Besides the old courthouse, this square also has the historic wall in the picture and a tremendous Banyon tree in the courtyard.

The old remaining wall is not really much to look at, but do go into the Courthouse. It has very interesting facts of history on display. It also has restroom upstairs and an elevator for those who cannot climb. It is worth a visit.

Doesn't look like much but if you're a history buff and you're in the Banyan Tree Park, it would be a shame not to stroll by.

Not a lot to see, but interesting how much of the ruins are still standing. It is located South of the Banyan tree courtyard and close to the museum. Photo ops for many and the entire area has plenty of things to check out.
