We attended this show based on the great reviews we read. Let me preface this by saying it was likely OUR fault that my review is not completely stellar. The musicians were effortlessly talented and charming and everyone associated was really cool and warm. Be...More

In June for the last 20 years, George puts on a guitar, ukulele, hula, Hawaiian workshop. Tonight they had the teachers perform. Great music with energy. Special hula dances. Highly recommended

Slack key is not my main musical interest, but this is an exceptional show... The quiet unassuming George Kahumoku Jr hosts and plays his beautiful and unique 12 string to open the show. His 4 Grammy Awards for Compilation CDs featuring many of the other...More

We have never gone to a slack key show before, but we like the sound when we have heard it so we thought we would give it a try. I am glad we did because we loved it. Led Kaapana and all the others on...More

What a great show!! We got to see one of my favorite musicians Ledward Kaapana - he is So good. A nice, small venue where you can easily find the opportunity to talk to the musicians at the intermission or at the end. Also there...More

We booked ahead for the VIP package with front row seats to the show. My husband plays ukulele and we enjoy traditional Hawaiian music immensely so being able to sit in the front and watch these truly talented musicians will be a memorable treat for...More

This concert must be added to your Maui "To Do" list. The venue is located at the Napili Kai hotel. Arrive early as parking can be a problem. This is not a slick touristy event but rather a jam session of people who are passionate...More

Every Wednesday night the Napili Kai Resort has a "slack key" show featuring prominent Hawaiian musicians. It's explained that slack key simply means detuning or "slacking" one or more guitar strings until the six strings form a single chord and in this manner accompanies the...More

If you go to the Slack Key Guitar Concert (well worth seeing), do NOT buy the dinner package - only buy tickets on-line for the concert and eat your dinner separately. If you buy the dinner/concert package, it will end up costing you the equivalent...More

Loved the show with four musicians and Wainane dancing hula. Though they tried to explain what "slack key" is I'm still not sure I understand though. The setting is gorgeous in a very high end resort with lovely grounds and a very good restaurant (don't...More

We called ahead to reserve a seat. Tickets were available at the door. We went early after dinner & sat on the front row. This was a fantastic night. Don't miss it, whatever you have to do. Just go. Incredible show.

I called the show and paid for the tickets over the phone. I think you can purchase online and you can also buy them just before the show. It was not full.
