First of all, get to the parking lot at no later than 8:30am. Too hot otherwise. Second of all, find the right dirt road/rocky road to the parking lot. If coming from Kahului, take Hwy 380 (Kuhelani Highway) south, turn left at the traffic lights on Hwy 30 (Honoapiilani Hwy). Go about 2km south on Hwy 30, and just after... More

Wear sturdy shoes, take plenty of water and be prepared to have the snot blown out of your nose!! This incredible hike is well worth the time as the views are magnificent! We started on the Lahaina side near Maalea Harbor and the climb is over mostly boulders and big rocks. Pay close attention to signs and arrows at the... More

This trail can afford some nice views, but it is a hassle because you need two cars. There is not much variation in scenery and it can get relly hot. There are much better trails on Maui. The Kapalua trails are a better West Maui resort area option and the Waihee ridge has more to offer on the other side... More

We did not heed the advise and did this hike in the heat of the day. Probably would have been more fun in early morning. We did however bring lots of water. I enjoy climbing over rocks and this hike had plenty of them. Some portions are steep but manageable if you take breaks. We did not do the whole... More

We got up early and packed a snack for the hike the breeze was nice and the view was fabulous. I would not make this hike in the hot midday sun. This is a nice change of pace from the beach boardwalks in the area.

Decent hike and not a ton of foot traffic...some parts with good views but not the best but very windy! If your close and want a good workout it's worth the trip but with so many great hikes save this one for when it's convenient or you feel like flying a kite!

Many times driving by the Pali I said to myself "I'll never, ever, ever do this trail." It just seemed so scorching hot and desolate. Well, on the evening of the Summer Solstice my buddy had the bright idea of doing a Sunset/Moonrise hike up the Pali to the Windmill station. From the trailhead at Ukumehame Beach Park it was... This is an excelent hike with awesome views towards Lanai and Ma'alaea bay area. Bring snacks and lots of water, it can get hot! I recommend starting on the south side and turning around at the wind farm. The trail into the valley is subpar at best, though the view is okay.

This is a nice trail to walk a long the coast. Bring your camera at sunset and you won't be disappointed. It is not a hike, little children and older adults will find it easy. Look for the beach access signs for parking.

What a hike, very dusty, all uphill, but when you almost reach the top, the high levels out to ridge running, at the very top are the windmills, beautiful views. You will get dusty, its windy all the way up uphill and downhill, at the vey top are the windmills. If you do the one side round trip its 5... More
