We had a wonderful time on our self-guided bike ride down Haleakala. We met at the Maui Sunriders' shop in Paia for a safety overview and to be fitted with our gear. They provide everything - bikes, helmets, raingear (Luckily we didn't need that!), maps, and a backpack and lock. Our driver, Joe, then drove us to the top of... More

We really enjoyed the tour with Maui Sunriders. The bikes and kit were excellent - with waterproofs and gloves provided and much appreciated! Remy was a brilliant guide on the ride up the mountain and getting ready to bike down. We really prefered the self-guided ride down. It was easy to find the route and much more fun to set... More

We did a sunrise tour with Maui Sunriders. This is an exciting tour with a early start to witness breathtaking views of the sunrise from an elevation of 10,000 ft by the visitors centre. We were able to get good views of the craters and were also able to see snow on top of Monakea (Big Island) from this mountain... More

13 people in my family - ranging in age from 21 to 59 spent a fabulous day today cycling down the Haleakala Crater. Maui Sunriders set us up beautifully - they were ready when we arrived - had many bikes so that everyone had a perfect fit of bike, helmet, jackets and even backpacks. Our guide was so informative that... More

Getting up early is totally worth it! The clouds made the sunrise hard to see but the bike ride and Jacobs personality totally overshadowed that! The bike ride was really enjoyable but make sure you listen to the directions that the guide says on the way up in the car. If you don't it's not fun to walk up a... More

It's really so very hard to describe how amazing this experience was! Our guide up to the volcano was very informative, funny and engaging. The bus ride is long, uphill and in the dark but absolutely worth it. Once you're up top you feel like you are actually IN the stars! It definitely chilly so dress for warmth and in... More

Maui Sunriders makes your trip as if you were riding with close friends , except it is a tour of a lifetime. Joe was our driver up the mountain and gave us the most sensational tour talk all the way up to our starting point. Highly HIGHLY recommend ‼️‼️‼️

This is a great tour! We unfortunately had rainy weather, so didn't see the sunrise at the top of Haleakala...but the biking down hill was a thrill. The bikes are in great condition & you are provided with all the safety gear you need. Slightly challenging in the wet weather as you get water spraying in your face...you could go... More

There are so many options when it comes to doing tours, especially at Haleakala. But, this one has to be the best. Our driver and guide - Joe - was sensational. He was so personable and knowledgeable, and gave some terrific tips that allowed us to make the most of our excursion. For $200, it was well worth the sunrise... More
