This beach is the easiest place to see the turtles. It is best to go on a day when there is not much wind and low waves. I suggest you where lots of sunscreen, a bathing suit and plan to stay at the beach a...More

Guide said that there was a turtle swimming in the water, nope, that was a rock. Nice scenery though and a nice place to hang out with family and friends for those that have the time and are not on a tour.

There are almost always turtles resting here on the beach. You are not guaranteed to see them, but odds are very good. We have seen as many as 4 turtles here. It gets very crowded, and parking is very limited during busy times. You will...More

We went one afternoon about 3pm, the traffic was a little busy crossing the road but it was well worth it to see 5 large turtles floating in the shallows. Yes there were a few other tourists around (like us!).

Loved hanging at this beach! Gets busy, so best to get there a bit earlier. Parking can be a task. Near the pill box hike.

This is a great place to see the amazing sea turtles. There are usually volunteers there that help protect them as they sun themselves.

When we were there, a turtle swam out of the ocean and onto the beach. Volunteers were there to rope off the area and give the turtle room to rest. The turtle was tagged, so they put a sign up about her. It was an...More

There was only 1 turtle beached and the crowd around him was enormous, they had a couple animal activists there making sure nobody got within 5 feet or so of it. They are beautiful creatures and it was awesome to see one in real life,...More

The turtle guardian said that the turtles are there year round but are more abundant on the beach in summer. The ocean there has high surfs and currents, and swimming there is not recommended. The volunteer said that... More

We went on a day tour that included this beach. We found it easier then having to hire a car and pay for parking.

Can we snorkel in the water even though the turtles are there as long as we do not approach them?

Yes, they only ask that you observe at a comfortable distance and do not impede their direction. Enjoy, it was a very memorable experience.
