Bus dropped us right by the entrance so it was easy to walk into the park. Pedestrian road is on the left side of the main road with some good crosswalks near the entrance. There are restrooms at the end of the parking area and showers to clean off the sand. Wide, slightly coarse sand along a spectacular north shore... More

Read the recommendation from the Hawaii tourism website; very nice, pleasant, quiet beach with great views. The water was shallow for quite a ways out. The bottom is a mix of rock and sand. This area is ideal for paddle boarders, kayakers and children. No big waves to contend with. Awesome spot for a family with young children. I arrived... More

We were looking for a semi protected snorkeling spot one afternoon. This park does have protected areas, but no coral or pretty fish. They are building new facilities. The park has camping spots.

Calm water here for paddle boarding and great sunset spot in the evening. There are bathrooms and playgrounds for the kids

There are very few playgrounds in Vanuatu where we live, so our daughter was giddy with joy when we took her to this one. It was a very good playground and she made a friend there. While her mother watched her, I wandered down to the sea wall. I saw dozens of turtles (or a half dozen turtles dozens of... More

This is not a swimming beach, it is a beach of watching monster waves arrive. Which we did. It was enjoyable to just sit back as the sun was setting an watch waves crash in. Some brave souls were boarding out there, good for them. We appreciated the seat on firm ground much more.

We went to the North Shore for surf lessons (which were awesome). If you read about this park it will say bathrooms, showers, etc. don't know if the state of Hawaii is running out of money to maintain the park, but NO bathrooms. The ones that were there are closed down. They had 4 porta-potties for the whole park. I... More

We stopped there to rest a while and walk on the beach and suddenly realized there were a few turtles swimming close to the seaside. It was a great surprise and we were there almost alone at the time. We enjoyed it a lot. As for the rest, it si a nice place to have a picnic with great views... More
