If you are looking for a golf course different than your course at home, try here. Bring lots of balls as they will find the jungle. Course in good shape but greens a bit slow. Friendly staff that helped make my visit enjoyable.

If you have never played at RHGC, you are in for a difficult, but real treat. Set amongst the original growth forest of windward Oahu, this somewhat Links style course offers a distinct challenge. Most of the holes feature forced carries and hazards on either side of the fairway. You must be able to hit accurately in order to play... More

Beautiful setting, well managed and manicured course. Bring plenty of extra balls just in case you play like me.

Your own private jurassic park golf course. Not easy - lots of ravines to make your balls disappear, but just stunning. We saw two mongooses along the way. Friendly folks in the pro shop, and snack bar. Recommended by our Honolulu area hotel, definitely worth the drive, you will not be disappointed. The only noise is the sound of birds... More

Staying in Waikiki, took a 30 minute ride to play Royal Hawaiian. It had rained most of the prior day, so the range was limited to hitting off artificial turf, though it wasn't the typical driving range mats. Felt like grass, and you could put a tee in it. Range balls were limited flight but in good shape. Staff is... More

A fantastic golfing experience and a must play if you are vacationing in Oahu. This is the 2nd time we have played this course and each time was a great experience. We picked a good day as the sun was out, which is not usually the case on the windward side of the island. The course was in great shape.... More

If you came to Hawaii wanting to play a round on a genuine Hawaiian golf course this is it. Bring plenty of golf balls but plan on leaving with great photos and memories. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Watch the weather-if it's raining in Waikiki area, it's probably a bit worse at course. Great discount if you are... More

Royal Hawaiian is one of the very best curses I have had the pleasure to play in my 40+ years of golf. I am fortunate enough to be a member at Firestone CC in Akron Ohio, and I can assure you the challenges you face at Royal Hawaiian are far more complex than Firestone! I played it from the tips,... I'm not the best golfer in the world, nor am I the most well traveled golfer. With that said I took my brother here (who has golfed at a few locations across the US) and he was in love with the place. The course is very difficult, and also is not very forgiving. When we were there the rain was... More

This course is set in a Jurassic Park like setting....there is NO WAY you can walk this course as tee to green is a very long way....The course is in GREAT shape, greens are firm but slow enough to hold your shots and the putting line. This is NOT an easy course...if you are a 15 handicap or higher, do... More
