We were told by locals to visit this beach to see turtles and it didn't disappoint! There were probably 20 turtles at the water's edge eating and playing in the waves, occasionally letting the waves toss them onto the beach and then take them back...More

This is a very lovely beach but your picture must have photo-shopped out ALL the people that are on it daily. Parking is difficult if not impossible, ticketing is a problem you don't want, and there are no facilities of any kind. Oh yes, and...More

A local gave us directions to this beach and how to park along the sides of the one way residential streets. We arrived around 2 PM as people who had been there earlier were leaving. It was a one block walk to a wide, rock-walled...More

Lanikai is a neighborhood beach, with limited parking on the street. It's beautiful, as are lots of beach along that part of Oahu. BUT , it's inclusion on sites like this have ruined it. The vibe with neighbors overrun by tourists parking across their driveways,...More

We spent a perfect afternoon on Lanikai Beach snorkeling, sunning and swimming. Kailua is beautiful, but there is something quite special about that stretch called Lanikai. If there was a bathroom, we would have stayed longer. Just go. You'll see. Enjoy!

Absolutely beautiful beach with powdery white sand and aqua blue water. Many entrances through the wall on the Lanikai Loop. Good for swimmers and families.

We stopped here a on a drive around the island and promptly fell in love with a Kailua. The beach was beautiful, scenic, not too crowded with options for sun or shade.

If you don't get here early you will never find a place to park. Drive 3 more minutes North if traveling from Waikiki and stop at Kailua (which is actually attached to Lanikai). You can always walk down to this beach. It is a very...More

I don't know, but is 15 min from Waikiki, by car. So, you can anjoy but public transportation is very aloha. Recomand to rent a car, the chipeast... Think at me when you'll be there!
