We have been here 2 or 3 times before on previous trips to Oahu but it's been a while so we opted to stop again on a recent tour of the area. It was always busy but the number of tourists visiting has definitely escalated. The main store is basically one big souvenir store selling everything pineapple. There is a... More

We were taken here as part of a bus tour of the island. Dole Plantation was built on growing pineapples and putting them in tin cans It is a small attraction sight with a big shop.So after a 10 min trip round the pineapples growing in the back lot we headed for the shop. You can buy Pineapple chocolates Teddy... More

Okay.. so my buddy and I decided to stop by and check out the "Oh so famous Dole Plantation". It really surprised me! First of the prices are a little high up there but what do you expect from a tourist attraction. They have three attraction 1) Garden $7.00 2) Maze $9.00? and 3) Train $10.50. TRAIN: So a see... Been here, done that! Just passing through and had to stop for just the Dole whip...totally non dairy....absolutely delish with fresh pineapple! This is a nice stop for family/kids with shopping and food options, a maze and pineapple field train ride. These all costing extra, of course.

We enjoyed the Dole Plantation, but it csn very much be a tourist trap. Lots of things to do we really enjoyed the train ride and found the history very interesting, but passed on everything else. Great gift shop.

Didn't join the tour while we were there but still a nice place to stopover browsing the sourvenirs and indulging in the yummy pineapple ice cream!

We stopped here on our way back to Honolulu from a drive around the island. Very commercialized but worth a first-time visit. Pretty garden for taking pictures. Loved the pineapple ice cream!

It's Ground Hogs Day every day at the Dole Pineapple Plantation. Bus after bus of tourists. Same old tired, overpriced merchandise from yesteryear. The only reason I stopped this time was to use their restroom.

The dole plantation is worth a quick stop by if you are heading by it (i.e. On your way from Honolulu to north shore). I wouldn't spend anymore than an hour or two there. We went on the train ride which was beautiful. I was a bit hesitant to pay for the garden tour, but in the end was glad... More

I was expecting a walk thru pineapple fields but it a large shopping stop for pineapple products. They also have great macadamia nuts available.
