Sunsets In Hawaii

Beautiful views of the sunset. Enjoy the ride to the most western point where the road ends and chill on the beach while you watch the sunset.

Great alternative to the crowded waikiki Beach. Take an umbrella because there is now shade. The waves are strong and big so be careful. You can watch there sunset. The only problem is the traffic while comming back to Honolulu. We were there twice and always were stocked on the road.

Nice to get away from the hustle and bustle of Honolulu....Makes you remember you're in Hawaii...if you have a rental car and some extra time - take the time to visit. Not the safest beach to visit (at least the surf was up when we were there) but a lovely place to enjoy nature....safe to get your toes wet but... More

This beach is beautiful as well as being away from it all. We visited in June and it was quite windy and impossible to keep an umbrella up. The only thing I didn't like about this area was the amount of trash left along the road and parking areas.

Want a gorgeous public beach all to yourself? Try here! I drove as far as possible on the this road & was amazed to only find a handful of other people on the beach. Next time I'll be better prepared with food, water, towel, book & chair to spend all day!

Please indicate if this review was helpful so I know what to review in the future! On our trip to Oahu this month we hiked Yokohama Bay Trail aka Kaena West (this hike), Diamond Head, Monoa Falls, Kaena North and the Lanikai Pillboxes. We did Kaena from the west as our first hike. Of the hikes mentioned, we would consider... More

Beautiful HI beach with not many visitors. Usually few people on this beach except on weekends. Gorgeous blue water, great body-surfing waves, wide beach.

The color of the water here is absolutely stunning. The drive to get here isn't the most pleasant on the island, but this beach is worth the effort.

Beautiful sites along the away. Hot so be sure to bring water and sun screen. Had two lil ones, 5 & 9, both walked the entire 6 or so miles. We got to see a whole lot of the nesting and baby birds and even saw a couple monk seals. I was exhausted by the end of it. Lol

We did the hike to Ka'eana Point and dropped by this beach to check it out. We ended up staying for hours because it was not crowded and it was a lot of fun! The waves are strong, so if you stand at the shoreline be sure to brace yourself. The wave can knock you down if you are not... More
