Whilst visiting Acadia National Park spend some time at Schoodic Peninsula. The views are fantastic and unspoilt. The place is peaceful, clean with the sound of the ocean and sea so relaxing.

Even though it is a far drive from Mt. Desert Island, it is definitely a place everyone should visit! The views were awesome, I was able to walk to an island because of low tide, and even though it was a cloudy day, it was...More

Really enjoyed this place! Not as popular and crowded as Desert Island but not as crowded and with all the hiking you could ast for. Bring a lunch and stop to smell the roses! The vistas are some of the best Maine has to offer!

came here one morning when weather was misty and cloudy and our boat trip was cancelled. Drive was just under an hour but totally worth it. We stopped at most of the drive-offs and they were all really scenic and very different. The point was...More

Though part of Acadia National Park, it's not in the main area. Maybe an hours drive from Bar Harbor, it's quiet and not over run with tourists. We couldn't get into half the sights in the main park due to crowds and over filled parking...More

Take the drive north and you'll be rewarded with an amazing loop road and vista's that are every bit as wonderful as the park proper. The best part is the crowds are minimal by comparison. The extra miles will be well worth the effort! Spend...More

This is often missed by most visitors to the National Park but is well worth the time to drive there. It was foggy the day we were driving but it still provided amazing views and geologic wonders.

This was by far the best of the trip. There were very few people compared to Acadia on Mt Desert Island. The views were breathtaking and it was so peaceful.
