We have been coming to Bar Harbor for 20 years plus and just discovered this path. All flat and gravel. We saw joggers, bikers, walkers, strollers. There is no fence on the water side so hand on to toddlers.

Great walk and beautiful ocean shore to get some great photos. May take you half and hour to loop around, depending how many times you stop to take pictures.

We hiked the Shore Path while visiting Acadia National Park in early Sept. Gorgeous views of the shore and you can get to Thunder Hole from the main path. Easy walk, mostly flat with some hills.

Not sure. I was say from downtown to the end probably a little less than a mile. Lots of opportunity to view the ocean, flowers, and homes.
