The tour was factually and historically interesting, but the highlight was the tasting experience. Would not suggest the tour for non beer drinkers.

The tour of Anchor is certainly worth heading out for. The tour guide on my tour was excellent- very knowledgable, friendly and enthusiastic. The tour itself is short but sweet with the most shocking thing being how small the place is! Plenty of time to...More

We incorporated a visit to the brewery because we had one visitor who is a beer enthusiast, and I have always like Anchor Steam beer. We had no idea of the history of the brewery or their unique processes. The tour gave us a new...More

This brewery is a favorite of mine. I always like their beer. The tour was fun and learned a lot about brewing. I recommend going here on a trip to SF.

A piece of SF history, brewing history and Anchor history. Plus yummy beer. Learned a lot, enjoyed the stories and the history and would totally recommend it to visitors, in town or out.

Can't fault the anchor brewery tour. We had a really great guide who knew all there is to know about anchor, answered all the questions really well and had a good sense of humour to go with it. The tour itself was interesting and you...More

A San Francisco treat. The tour guide was funny as well as knowledgeable with plenty of beer at the end of the tour. Eat something before you come and don't drive, parking can be difficult and the pours are generous.

Loved the tour, loved the beers we tasted and the small souvenir shop at the end of the tour but finding parking was nightmare! Tour costs $25 a person.

There are buses running down Potrero, I would use Google maps from your starting location (on wifi if no roaming data) and it's easy to walk over from Mission side of hwy. We walked to Anchor from Bernal Heights and went to... More

I recall that the actual tour only lasts about an hour. There is a beer tasting afterward and people seemed to linger there.
