While this brewery does not have a restaurant or a pub on site, it offers this wonderful tour that takes you from the tuns, to the hop room, to the cellar to the bottling room. The guide is informative and loves to answer questions. The tastings at the end are generous and delicious! Book ahead :-)

We had a great tour guide, answered all questions. Beer tasting informative and extensive. Gift shop not overpriced. If you're a native you should have already been here, it you are not its a place to see (don't think its on any tour).

Went for a great tour of the brewery! Fantastic lesson of the brewing process. Sampled at least 5/6 types. If you brew yourself you'll love this tour. They also have a cozy gift shop.

If you're into beers and want to check out a great brewery while you're in town, this is the spot. Great history and great beers. The tour guide Mike was very informative and was very passionate about their product. Take the tour, you won't be disappointed. Key note, the tasting room is not open to the public. So in order... Great tour showcasing the craft of beer making. Even my wife -- who prefers a winery tour any day -- loved this experience. Would definitely visit again to try out their distillery tour.

Great facility. Great tour guide. Great beer. Much enjoyment! The hour and a half tour can fit into any schedule. You may want to ask for half glasses of samples, since they are very generous with their pours.

Great tour that still captures the essence of old SF. Lots of beer tasting at the end as well. Great to hear the history of one of the oldest steam breweries.

As long time Bay Area residents, we decided it was time to finally visit Anchor. The tour was very informative and interesting and our tour guide (Mike) was excellent. On the tour you are able to look inside the copper brewing kettles and actually touch hops. You also see the other brewing and bottling areas. The tour of the factory... More

The tour of the brewery was very good, and our guide Mike was very knowledgable. The whole facility certainly smells like a brewery, so be prepared for that, and the tour itself kind of has more people in it than you'd expect. Anchor Beers for 2017 are not exactly earth-shattering, but their new Blood Orange ale was actually really good.... More
