We love this place simply because of its beauty- the architectural design of the building. More so, we enjoy just walking in the area with a view of the bay, there are local stores that sells interesting stuffs. Very San Francisco! A place to relax and unwind with a glass or even a bottle of wine.

I loved it here. You have a great market in a lovely old building with great produce, well thought and prepared food and I particularly enjoyed the wine bar too. It's not big but you could easily spend a lot of time here enjoying all it had to offer.

It's definitely a nice place to visit and relax. There are many small boutiques shops. Especially, you should grab a cup of coffee latte from the well known cafe - Blue Bottle. It tastes so good.

Every time we're in San Francisco we go here just to have a glass of wine and people watch. Definitely something to check out anytime you're visiting San Francisco. There is a great wine bar in the middle so if you enjoy wine it's a good place to sit. Also, there is a great farmers market Saturday mornings in front... More

An array of specialty shops to delight the senses nestled within the historic ferry building. Many food and snacking choices including a completely gluten-free bakery. Just steps from the bayfront and ferry dock. Great anytime of day but especially morning.

Started with empanadas. Followed with fish sandwiches. Ice cream and coffee. Brought home bread, wine and cheese. Sounds like a perfect afternoon.

This was a favorite and completely unexpected activity during our first visit to San Francisco! You'll mix with the locals getting their fruits and veggies for the week, see lots of dogs, and try some delicious food. $2 oysters, the empanadas!!! OMG!, lox, avacado toast, olive oils, fruit, bone broth.....just on and on. We didn't want to to leave but... More

We visited the Ferry Building several times during our week visit in December. The best time was for the Saturday Ferry Plaza Farmers Market (8am-2pm). Lots (dozens)of booths with prepared foods, fruits and veggies, etc. During the week it was perhaps a dozen vendors and just okay. You also have the permanent retail shops inside the Ferry Building

Great location, great options for food and drink. Very pricy but worth a visit. Large selection of different foods, including free from vendors (dairy free, gluten free etc). Also the wine bar was great...The house wine (California Pinot noir) was amazing... Not often is the house wine worth shouting about!
