The Asian Art museum in San Francisco is housed in the old library. It is beautiful inside! They have some really pretty textiles on display; kimono, tapestries, and other garments.

Beautiful silk screens and kimonos. Tiny ceramics and wood carvings. Although we were on a tight schedule, we hit all the floors. We'll come back another time to absorb more of the descriptions of the individual pieces. I loved the way it was organized by...More

The AAM is always a delight. Not only does the featured exhibit usually spread across 4 galleries on the main floor spark interest, such as the current Korean Couture, but you can explore the permanent collections for new exhibits and items, such as Collecting Philippine...More

Civic Center is the seat of power for all things

Although its streets are best walked during daytime,
numerous cultural gems are within close proximity to
one another. The symphony, opera, ballet, and jazz
center offer year round entertainment within the
shadow of the city’s Beaux-Arts crown jewel: the gold
tipped dome of City Hall.
