My friends and I had a great time walking on the bridge and getting some beautiful photos on the bridge of the surrounding area. Once off the Bridge you could walk on to Crissy Field. It is a lot of walking but it is fun when the weather is great. We made many stops along the way to take photos,... More

The view is magnificent. You can just sit there and admire for hours. There's not much to do, just take a lot of nice photos.

If course you need to cross the famous golden gate bridge! I would recommend coming here to watch the sun rise and sun set. PRO TIP: bring a wind breaker jacket it is most windy on the towers than the actually sidewalk

I can not imagine going to SFO without taking a shot of this sight ... with blue sky from the boat even more attractive... I never saw the bridge in fog ... and I was several times in SFO just love this city

I have seen the Golden Gate Bridge umpteen number of times and it still remains one of the most inspiring sights I have seen anywhere. If you can then do cycle across it; stop in the middle and take a look around. And yes take a picture or two :)

We hired bikes in San Francisco and cycled across the Bridge to Sausilito before getting ferry back. It was a memorable experience and gave us stunning views. Choose a nice day though.

Good to drive across but the toll arrangements were a bit confusing! Iconic views across a famous bridge.

The Golden Gate Bridge is an iconic landmark and you have to go see it when you are in San Francisco. Although it is a landmark, it really is just a big bridge. It is very similar to New York's Verrazano-Narrows Bridge, or any other large suspension bridge, only it is red instead of gray.
