Cool sign!

Chocolate shop is nice. It's pretty much what you'd expect. Lines are reasonable but not the prices.

A must for chocolate lovers - lots of options and apparently very romantic at night as the square lights up.

Whether you want to pick up a few bars as souvenirs or gifts or you've got the time and appetite to taste the amazing ice cream sundaes, it is well worth a stop at this pleasant location near Fisherman's Wharf. There will be a queue to get in (for dining) at the most popular times, but you don't have to... More

One of the countless things to do while visiting this amazing city. Places to eat and stores to browse. Our last visit had a visiting drum group that was fun to watch in the main cortyard. A fun relaxing place to spend a few hours and I believe you can get parking validated if you spend money, although we had... More

When in San Francisco, take the time to explore Ghirardelli Square. It's located a few blocks from Fisherman's Wharf so when you visit the Wharf venture over to the square. There are little shops and restaurants to visit, but the main attraction is the Ghirardelli candy and ice cream store. You will be given a free candy sample when you... More

The Square is home to the original Ghiradelli Chocolate Factory, and is now most a group of restaurants and shops, including a Ghiradelli Chocolate store. It is just a block away above Fisherman's Wharf, perched on a hill that overlooks picturesque SF Bay. Restaurants have a variety of price points.

It's close to Fishermans Wharf and an easy walk so why not just do it. The chocolate is EXPENSIVE. You can get the exact thing at Target for way less $. The square is nice. Lines for ice cream are long but each store offers a complimentary chocolate when you enter.

Stayed here (Fairmont) for two nights with family - excellent apartment with very attractive, well-presented facilities and convenient access to the shoreline facilities as well as those of the square - a rather fine example of preserved brick buildings. Would certainly stay again.
