This is one of the city's gems, a beautiful park on the beautiful Bay. Some folks come here to swim in the very cold water, God bless them. Come and enjoy the views, including the Bridge.

We had a nice time at Aquatic Park. Its a nice place to walk and see views of he an Francisco Bay. There are places to sit. Some were even enjoying a nice swim as it was a very warm summer day.

It's a big park with a big lake and some water sports. Also some picnic grounds and a place to eat. Note that I-80 runs along side so lots of traffic noise.

We love the views of the San Francisco Bay from Aquatic Park. Its a wonderful place to go for a walk. There are some restaurants such as McCormick and Schmick at Giardelli Square where one gets a good view of the park when dining.

And yes - some even swim in the Bay.

Lovely park next to a nice beach and the Maritime Museum. It’s a nice place to watch the swimmers in the sea as there was quite few the day we were there. Numerous restaurants, cafes and bars close to the park.

A lovely little beach. Very quiet and calm. The day was amazing when I was there - clear and windless. Thoroughly recommend a walk.

The Aquatic Park is part of the Maritime National Historic Park. It is a body of water Hyde Street Pier and the Fort Mason Pier. That water and the beach is set to allow people to use for wellness or stroll along for good fresh air. Also, it is served as water shows event. A bandstands are permarnently set up near the Museum for people to view the events. When no special event, visitors can sit at the lawn to view the Bay or to see swimmers in water. The park (lawn nearby is a nice place for picnic and watching people.

We parked at 11 am on a Thursday, among dozens of other cars in a well-traveled area - the Aquatic Park public parking lot. Safe, right? Wrong. We came back a couple hours later to a couple smashed windows in our car. We had nothing of value in the car and thus nothing was stolen. But, I guess they wanted to look in our trunk. (And it's a 2015 Ford Fusion, so I wouldn't think it would look like a very good target.)

We, a family of four, was surprised that we were almost alone sunbathing and swimming on this beach on a hot and sunny July afternoon. I was actually looking around to see if there were any prohibition or warning signs, but couldn't find any. And there were other swimmers further out, even if we were alone going into the water from the beach side of this little harbour. Lots of people were walking on the boardwalk behind us, but for no reason we could come up with, beach-life was apparantly not of interest to anyone but us.
