$2.75 gives you up to 90 minutes travel from time of purchase, or you can get the daily/ 3 daily ticket to use all services. Travelled from Westgate to Pier 33 on a relatively empty vehicle. These are very similar to what we have running...More

If you like historic streetcars, you will love the ones running on San Francisco streets. These are reliable mass transit in contrast to the cable cars and should not be missed. Watch for the one from Milano.

We rode these because they were included on our muni passport. They are fun and look good, but we did get stranded at one night with 2 young children when we had to wait more than an hour for one to arrive. And absolutely zero...More

While all are historic, and it is fun to ride something other than the usual, some are more fun than others. The Milanese street cars are cacophonous, postively painful to the ears, but georgeous to behold. Be aware that in the height of tourist season,...More

We always take the F-Line to the Castro area from near the Ferry Building, as well as the other direction, going down Embarcadero. They are a tour in themselves. Big photo ops, as they are coming down the street toward you. They are from a...More

The street cars are fun to ride on and fun to see. The only downside, of course, is that they are usually incredibly crowded. It's a joy to see them in use. We were lucky enough to get on what appeared to be the oldest...More

If you go to San Francisco you have to have a ride on the old trams and streetcars. We bought a 3 day clipper card and could use it on all the local buses including the streetcars, so we went on them all day. Great...More

This was a unique way to travel, but too expensive for the small route and not much access to areas of interest.

We rode the F line from BART station to the Wharf. Loved the look of the serviceable streetcars with the great, period paint jobs.

Take the F Cars from Castro to Fisherman's Wharf and see the city from nearly top to bottom! The price of fare is only $2.75 and you get to sit in a moving museum and view the sights and sounds of Market Street.
