Believe it or not, even if you are staying in Union Square, you run down to Market street, take that to the waterfront, and then head to the Golden Gate Bridge which makes a nice 13.1 mile round trip (half marathon)!

If you want to experience the gorgeousness of the Bay, head for the Marin Headlands. The place to be for a postcard view of San Francisco and beyond!

SF is nothing if not iconic - from the GG Bridge, to Coit Tower, the Ferry Building on the Embarcadero and, of course, all the amazing places to eat!

This is what you see when they depict San Fran in the movies . . .get your own picture of the Bay and make sure to get out on the water - tour the bay or Alcatraz or ferry ride to/from Sausalito or Tiberon.

Being a native of the bay there is no better place to be! Highly recommended. I would look for the best restaurants on trip advisor and eat your heart away. The food is awesome. Worldly cuisine.

Whether you walk the piers or bike the bridge you will find from Hunter's Point to Baker Beach the best the bay has to offer. Take a boat tour of any kind to see the most beautiful city by the bay.

I wouldn't say SF is all about seeing the Golden Gate bridge and the Bay area, but you definitely don't want to miss this. It is something else when you see the view in person. Also don't forget to enjoy all the views from different angles.
