There is charm, there is mystery, there is beauty, and there is history. What is not to like. I visit time and time again and there is always a new insight and new view.

One of the most famous American icons. It is perfect for pictures where one not only sees the Golden Gate Bridge at close proximity but also the surrounding sights. It is best to go when the weather is sunny. On a foggy day one can barely see anything. A professional photographer or one who knows how to use a good... More

Worth going to. Hiring a bike good way to get good view of bay from numerous vantage points. Great photo locations from both sides of bridge as well as from foreshore under bridge.

Those two are the best and most beautiful cities in the US. This was my second time in SF after 20 years and I am delighted again. It has a great position inside the bay with a fabulous Golden gate bridge dividing it from the ocean.

Take the opportunity to walk or cycle aping v the whole length of the Bridge. Views of the Bay are amazing especially if you're blessed with a clear, fog-free day - you can see for miles! Lovely and scenic, well marked walks along either side of the bridge. A really lovely day out

You'll NEVER be disappointed by visiting San Francisco. I love this city since my youngest ages, and I'm 44 now... The best city to visit and explore in all of the United States

We go often to SF as we live 100 miles away. Taking a ferry across the bay is the best way to see it. You can also walk across the Golden Gate Bridge or go to Alcatraz or Angel island. You will love it.

Loved everything. The history, the views, and the sites. Can't wait to visit again. Glad we took the trolley (only one with wheels) tour offered by Viator because we saw so much more then we originally planned and the person narrating and driving was excellent!
