We walked up to the beautiful and exclusive Nob Hill area of SF from Fisherman’s Wharf. It is a good walk and quite steep so wear sensible shoes! We stopped at the free Cable Car Museum on the way up (well worth it, it’s only...More

We walked around the area an went inside Grace Cathedral for a little bit. It's a very nice area. It felt like it would be the place to live if you could afford it. Very nice.

While a tiring climb up the hill from Market Street it was well worth it for the architecture of the buildings up here. Pacific Union Club, Fairmont Hotel, Intercontinental Hotel, Grace Cathedral, Brocklebank Apartments and Huntington Park with the Tortoise Fountain. There are some great...More

Historically known for where the richest men in San Fransisco built their mansions and where the most prestigious hotels in San Fransisco are situated, Nob Hill is well worth a look. Especially as Grace Cathedral is also situated here and you can get there easily...More

I travelled with teenagers. Rented an apartment through HomeAway. Safe, clean, quiet. Beautiful views. Walking distance to ChinaTown and Union Square. Cable Car ride to Ferry Building, Pier 39/33/Ghiradelli Square, and South of Market. Good local restaurants and small markets.

This is an interesting neighborhood to walk around and look at the architecture, but you should prepare for some hills/inclines. Take the cable car if you can; when we were there it was so over crowded we wound up mostly walking. A highlight is the...More

Per its name, this neighborhood sits atop a hill that is very high. If you are in shape then walk-up the steep incline; for a bit of nostalgia then take a cable car. Regardless of your mode of transportation, a visit to the ‘top’ of...More

Swanky and stylish, Nob Hill sits in the heart of the
city and is home to amazing architecture and views.
The hike to the top can be a challenging workout for
those who forego a cable car ride, but they will be
rewarded with some of the city’s most beautiful
architecture adorning its peak. Originally populated
with mansions after the Gold Rush, most if not all
were devastated in the 1906 earthquake and fire that

Yes you can, cable car is close to Cathedral. Think its the Powell Mason line. Have a good time.
