This trail goes along the water from Fishermen's wharf to the Golden Gate Bridge. It's an easy wide path, sometimes shared with bikes. Portions of the trail are being upgraded in 2017. There are short detours in the meantime.

One of the things I enjoy about living in California is exploring the area on bike. The SF Bay Trail is an easy way to do just that. Of the approx 350 miles of completed trail I have only ridden a small portion it. Namely accessing it in Hayward and riding towards Alameda. This is a multiuser trail which is... More

An awesome view of the Golden Gates bridge. Great views of the bridge and Alcatraz and angel island and the city. Such a neat area to explore. Well worth the walk. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting the area. ♥

Nature lover's paradise: so much peace and quiet, amazingly beautiful views, an exercise circuit, bike-walk-roller blade paths, and all this by the side of the Bay. This is the perfect place to learn how to ride that new bike, walk the baby in a stroller, and hold hands with your best friend.

Went for a run on a Sunday chilly morning. Having started the run from Fort Mason Center's farmers market, I followed the trail onto the Golden Gate bridge and up till the Vista Point on the other side of the Bay. On the Golden Gate bridge, the trail had speed guns at regular intervals to measure one's walking/running/cycling speed :-).... More

I walked from Embarcadero to Golden Gate Bridge along the Bay Trail. It was an excellent walk - wide paths, fantastic photo opportunities of Alcatraz, the Bridge, and the across the Bay. Yes, it took me a long time, but I absolutely recommend it, even for a smaller portion.

I walked along this trail from Fisherman's Wharf to wind down at the end of a very frenzied business trip to San Francisco. There are great views of Alcatraz and the Golden Gate Bridge. Plenty of room for walkers, joggers and cyclists. I was lucky enough to be walking west to see the sunset behind the Golden Gate Bridge. I... More

This was one of the bicycle trails I took around the SF Bay when I visited the area earlier this month. It's huge at about 340 miles as of this review. I rode my bike on it from Fort Mason through Marina Green, and onto the Presidio. Later in my trip I walked a portion of it alongside The Embarcadero... More

We have enjoyed various walks and hikes on the San Francisco Bay Trail. The trail itself is an ambitious project. It is both a bicycle and pedestrian trail that once complete will allow one to walk all along the San Francisco Bay shoreline. RIght now about 350 miles of the trail is complete; when done it will be about 500... More

This trail is beautiful and breathtaking! I'd walk it every day if I could and do as much as possible when back in town. It runs along the airport and water so watching the planes take off and land are a huge bonus. Just gorgeous!
